Delivery Teams

Advice that nobody can execute is a document. This is the part of SofinWave that executes: engineers who build the systems we recommended, in whichever shape puts accountability where you want it. There are two shapes here — we own the outcome, or you do and we staff it — and the choice between them is not about seniority or price. It is about who you want answering when a date slips.

Managed delivery — we own the outcome

We take a defined outcome, staff the roles it needs, run our own process, and are accountable for shipping it. You get progress you can verify rather than progress you are told about.

  • A technical lead accountable for architecture and code quality.
  • Backend, frontend, and mobile engineers sized to the scope rather than to a template.
  • QA embedded in the team, not bolted on before launch.
  • A delivery lead who runs the cadence and is your single point of contact.

Dedicated team — you own the outcome

Engineers assigned to you long-term who work inside your process rather than ours. They join your standups, pull from your backlog, and are reviewed by your leads. You get the continuity of in-house staff without carrying the hiring cycle.

  • You define the roles and interview the candidates before they join.
  • Engineers work in your repositories, your tracker, your ceremonies.
  • Your engineering manager sets priorities and reviews the work.
  • We handle contracts, payroll, hardware, and replacement if someone leaves.

Choosing between the shapes

The distinction that matters is who is accountable when something slips. Everything else — rates, seniority, team size — follows from that answer rather than driving it.

Frequently asked questions

How do we track progress?
Through working software at the end of every iteration, plus direct access to the repository and issue tracker. If a progress report is the only evidence of progress, something has gone wrong.
Can we interview the engineers?
On a dedicated team, yes, and you should — you define the role, we shortlist, you interview and decide. On managed delivery we staff the team ourselves, because we are the ones accountable for the result.
What happens if an engineer leaves?
We replace them and run an overlap so context transfers rather than evaporates. Retention is our cost to bear, not yours.
Can we change shape partway through?
Yes, and it is common. Engagements often start as managed delivery while the direction is uncertain and move to a dedicated team once your own leads can steer it. Changing shape is a contract amendment, not a restart.
What if we want to bring the work in-house later?
That is a normal outcome and the engagement is set up for it. Documentation and tests are produced throughout, and handover terms are agreed at the start rather than negotiated under pressure.
